Labour camp on the Turukhan River. Used in the construction and maintenance of the railway line.
This camp at the 96-kilometre point on the railway (calculated from Yermakovo) is one of the best-preserved camps along the so-called Dead Road. It contains a comparatively well-preserved baths and laundries building, dining hall and kitchen (reconstructions of them have been used in the 3D tour), solitary section, prisoners’ barracks (unfurnished, unfortunately) and guard tower. The area around the camp is not much overgrown, allowing for easy orientation regarding the arrangement and disposition of camp buildings.
