Ermakovo is the location of the Yenisei correctional labour camps and Construction 503 (established: 5.2.1949; abolished 12.11.1949) and the Northern administration of correctional labour camps and Gulag Construction no. 503 (established: 12.11.1949; abolished: 21.7.1952).
Employment of prisoners: construction of the eastern section of the railway line Chum─Salekhard─ Pur River─Igarka in the direction of the Pur River (inclusive) to the sea port in the area of Igarka with a ferry across the Yenisei (the so-called Dead Road); repair base building for Construction 503.
Subordinate to: The Northern Administration of the Main Administration of the Camps of Railway Civil Engineering of the Interior Ministry of the USSR. (Severnoe upravlenie GULZDS MVD USSR). Located in the town of Yermakovo.
